About us

Karen Ufer, BA, RTT
gathered her professional experience for more than 10 years as a Clinical Neuropsychologist working in neurological rehabilitation. After recovering fromlife-threatening injuries of a road accident, she decided to continue her practice in the therapeutic field that facilitated her own self-healing the most.

Karen studied Nuad Boran (Traditional Thai Massage) in Chiang Mai at the Sunshine School of Asokananda in 2005 and continued her advanced training in Cologne, Germany.  In 2006 Karen started her cooperation with Evelyn Unger, director of the Institute of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage (TTYM) in Cologne. Karen was honored to study with other excellent teachers of Nuad Boran like Ralf Marzen and Arnaud L’Hermitte, who teaches Osteo-Thai, an integrative approach of Osteopathy and Thai Massage. She became a Certified Thai Therapist RTT by the Thai Healing Alliance International in 2007.

Karen strongly believes in yoga, meditation, proper nutrition and the holistic form of Thai bodywork to be the source of well-being and restoration of healthy functioning. She believes that the body is the vehicle for change!
